Top Hair Loss Reasons Exposed

Today there are several different hair loss reasons for why one person may suffer from this particular medical condition and another will not. You will find that this is not only a male problem but also one that women are just as likely to suffer from as well. Below we will look at some of the more common reasons, which may result in a person losing their hair no matter what age they may be.

As mentioned previously hair loss has been thought of as a problem that men only have to deal with. Yet today it is just as common for some women to deal with the issue as well. In fact in the United States alone around 30 million women are now suffering from some form of hair loss.

Even though the problem of hair loss has been around for centuries, today many medical experts and professionals cannot actually decide just what the main causes for this problem is. Below however we do look at some of the more common factors, which will often contribute to hair loss.

1. Heredity - This is the most common reason for why a person is actually losing their hair. In fact, around half of all children who have a parent that suffers from this type of condition are also likely to suffer from the same condition as well.

Yet even though many people think that this can only happen to men then they need to rethink this. You will find that pattern baldness is very common in men and women. There are plenty of women who currently suffer from Androgenetic Alopecia. The reason for this being that a woman is just as likely to carry the gene that causes this medical condition as a man and then transmit it on to their child.

2. Medical Treatments - Today there are a wide range of drugs, medications and treatments for cancer (such as chemotherapy), which can cause a person to lose their hair. Although a person may lose their hair often, it is only temporary and once treatment stops, normally after a period of time, the hair will start to regrow once more.

3. Hormone Levels - For some people the reason they have begun to lose their hair is that their hormone levels have become imbalanced. This is especially a problem that women have to deal with because their bodies are producing far more androgen hormones rather than estrogen ones, thus the excess hormones impede the new hair from growing.

In this article, we have looked at three main hair loss reasons, which can cause a person to suffer from this type of medical condition. You will find that along with these, there are others, which can be responsible for why a person has begun to lose their hair.

Hair Transplant Surgery - Consider The Side Effects

Hair transplants have become a popular method of dealing with hair loss. For many people, losing their hair can mess with someone's self esteem. Transplants offer a quick and easy way of treating hair loss. However it's important to consider all the side effects, before rushing into this costly and irreversible procedure.

Swelling in the scalp, forehead and eyes is one of the most common side effects. Although it only last a couple of days, it can still be a concern. Your doctor should be able to give you medication to help. Skin moisturizers can help also. Itching can be relieved by shampoo the scalp. Spray water from a bottle is also a great tip!

A small percentage of people (5%) experience hiccoughs after hair transplants. It's not known why this happens. While hiccoughs aren't a serious side effect, then can be a minor annoyance. Not only can sleep patterns be disturbed, but they can annoy others who you live or work with. They usually go away after a few days.

Infections can be one of the most severe side effects of getting a hair transplant. It's importance to note that these are extremely rare; however they have been known to happen. Taking the prescribed antibiotics before and after the surgery will greatly diminish your chances of getting an infection.

No matter what type of hair transplant you're getting, it's important to understand all the side effects. Make sure you consult your doctor, both before and after the surgery so he can advise you on your best course of action. Hair transplants can be a safe and easy way of dealing with hair loss, as long as you do it safely.

Understanding Hair Loss and Hair Regrowth Formulas

Throughout the years, hair loss has been quite an issue for men. Some will try everything in order to get their hair back. In fact, some even get wigs just to cover their balding spot. Today, science has found a way for men to effectively grow their hair back.

First of all, you may want to understand what causes hair loss in order for you to know what kind of hair regrowth products to purchase. In the past, hair loss has been linked to aging. Although this is true, you have to consider that there are younger males who suffer from hair loss as well. Although it isn't a life threatening condition, hair loss can be quite embarrassing for most men as it will make them look older.

Studies have found that hair loss is mainly caused by genetic factors and hormonal changes. So, if your father suffers from hair loss, it is very likely that you too will suffer from the same condition. You also have to remember that taking hormonal drugs as well as aging can alter your hormone levels, which means that it can also cause hair loss. It has been found that the hormonal byproduct called DHT can eventually cause hair loss. This means that the more DHT gets inside your body, the thinner the hair follicles will get up until it gets wasted permanently.

Although DHT is required in the male's body in order for your body to develop early in life, recent studies have found that as men get older, the amount of DHT will increase. What this means is that as you grow older, you will be more prone to hair loss.

In order to stop hair loss, you will want to get a product that can nourish the hair follicles. The hair regrowth product should be able to have an active ingredient that will be able to block DHT from getting in your body. You need to remember that in order to have a strong and sound hair, proper nutrition in your scalp should be implemented and this is how hair growth formula works.

In most hair growth formulas the active ingredient is the water soluble vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 performs a lot of function in your body which will include nourishing the scalp and the hair follicles. The more vitamin B6 you have in your body, the healthier your hair will get.

One section of vitamin B that can help in growing hair is biotin. Biotin is a natural hair food that will help in nourishing your scalp and hair as well as your nails.

Another essential mineral that you should get is Magnesium. Magnesium is a mineral that will be able to promote hair expansion. It plays a crucial role in protein synthesis and energy metabolism.

Zinc is also essential in order for you to have a sound and strong hair. With Zinc, you will see that it will be able to nourish your scalp and promote hair growth.

So, now that you know what are the essential nutrients in order for you to grow your hair back, you will know what foods you need to eat and also what hair regrowth products you need to purchase. With this knowledge, you will be able to help in regrowing your hair more effectively and in a much shorter time.

Hair Loss Caused by Immunizations

Anyone who has a health concern after receiving vaccinations can file a report with Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS.) There have been at least 60 reported cases of hair loss occurring after routine vaccines. There may be many other unreported cases; as many persons are not aware of the reporting system (VAERS), or they may not relate the hair loss to the vaccine.

Forty-six of the 60 cases that had been reported from 1983-1995 were associate the Hepatitis B vaccination. Eighty three percent of the complaints involved female patients. In most cases the hair loss occurred within one month after receiving the vaccine. Sixteen of these cases noted severe and extensive hair loss affecting over half the scalp or body hair.

One case involved a 56 year old woman who developed extensive hair loss weeks after receiving the influenza virus vaccine. The same woman had similar but less severe symptoms after a prior influenza virus vaccine the previous year.

A more recent documented case involved the anthrax vaccine administered to military personnel. Sudden and severe hair loss occurred weeks after his fifth dose of the vaccination. Toxicology reports attributed this person's hair loss to the vaccination and suggested that it was not an isolated case.

Zinc gluconate was used successfully to restore this person's hair. Studies indicate that vaccinations may deplete zinc and other minerals, which could explain why zinc supplementation reversed the effects.

Immunizations may be indirectly associated with many other cases of hair loss as vaccines have also been associated with the onset of autoimmune disorders and other disorders in which hair loss is a symptom.

Hair is very sensitive to any changes or disturbances within the body. Even a slight upset to the system can disrupt the hair growth cycle. A vaccination may be viewed by the body as a foreign substance that the body must figure out how deal with. If adjustment does not occur quickly, it is possible that hair loss may result.

Certain people may be more prone to adverse affects of vaccinations. This includes those with compromised immune systems, autoimmune disorders or persons who are ill at the time the vaccination is administered. If any side effects are noticed after receiving an immunization, it should be reported.
